Independence day speech in English 

Assalamualaikum and a Very warm Good evening to the honorable chief guest, Respected Director sir,Respected MD sir, Respected Principal sir,  respected teachers, invited guests, my dear frnds and everyone present here.

I'm Iftikar Alom from 11th standard . I stand before you today to commemorate the value  of our freedom fighters on Independence Day. This day is not just another day in the calendar; it is a symbol of India’s courage, resilience, and indomitable spirit.
Independence Day is observed on the 15 August every year, marking the Independence anniversary. 15 August reminds us of the many sacrifices our freedom fighters made for the freedom movement and to get Independence from British rule. 
We should not forget the sacrifices of all the freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Chandra Sekhar Azad, and millions of others whose names are not even known but they fought to make India free from the colonial rule of Britishers.
"लड़े जंग वीरों की तरह,
जब खून खौल फौलाद हुआ ।
मरते दम तक डटे रहे वो, 
तब ही तो देश आजाद हुआ ॥"
So, today on the occasion of Independence Day, let’s make a promise to ourselves that we will always protect our country, by maintaining brotherhood, helping everyone, and educating ourselves. 
"देखो बच्चों यह झंडा प्यारा, 
तीन रंगों का मेल है सारा ।
आकाश को छूता रहे है, 
जान से प्यारा तिरंगा हमारा । 
सदा करो तुम इसका मान, 
कभी ना करना इसका अपमान। 
ये झंडा ही है देश की शान, 
बना रहे है यह सदा महान ।"
Now, I would like to finish my Independence Day speech with a few lines -
"तीन रंग का नहीं ये वस्त्र, 
ये देश की शान हैं। 
हर हिंदुस्तानी के दिल का,
यही एक स्वाभिमान हैं। 
यही गंगा, यही हिमालय 
यही हिन्द की जान है। 
तीन रंगों में रंगा हुआ 
अपना भारत महान हैं ।"
At last, once again wish you all a happy independence day and hope together we can build a wonderful nation.
